JACOB JOLLEY DOMINATES AWARDS

LISMORE’S Jacob Jolley picked up where he left off the previous season and completely dominated the Wingless Sprintcar Northern Rivers Club awards held Saturday night, May 29 at the East Lismore Bowling Club.

A good attendance watched Jolley take major honours for the 2020-2021 season with first placing in the Lismore Speedway Track Championship, the Northern Rivers Track Championship, Overall Track Title, Driver to America Series, Best and Fairest, Drivers’ Driver and the Best Presented Car and Crew awards.

His total monopoly came after the COVID aborted previous campaign was highlighted with awards for first place in both the Lismore and Grafton season pointscores and overall winner of the Northern Rivers Championship.

It’s a great achievement after Jacob set a game plan in place before season commencement for consistency toward regular top three finishes during the 2020-2021 term.

He did that – and a whole lot more!

“This is our best season, we were so consistent,” Jacob enthused.

“Of course we wanted to finish up front and win, but to do that, you have to be consistent. The team is over the moon with these results.

“It was very hard racing this season between everybody in our category, but also clean. I can’t thank everyone enough who has helped us along the way.

“Especially thanks to my entire team and especially two people who stand out and that’s my dad (Jason) and Paul (Paul O’Neill – dealer chief Lismore Nissan & Kia) for the late nights and long days working on the car.

“They always provided me with the best and always supported me no matter what happened. It made my job of steering the car the easy part. Also to Storme for always backing and supporting me, no matter what is going on, and also to all our sponsors that stick by us and continue to support what we do.”
