ACE Pijper was again the top-placed British rider with five points in the FIM World 250cc Final in Cloppenburg.
Luke Harrison was just behind on four in a weather-affected meeting won by Poland’s Oskar Paluch, whilst Max James did not get a ride at reserve.
GB Youth boss Neil Vatcher said: “It’s been a tough two events for the top three 250cc riders, but they have gained some fantastic experience and will come back to the UK with a lot more knowledge and bigger and better for the experience.
“The boys now look forward to a busy month of August in the British Youth Championship.”
Meanwhile Great Britain finished fifth in the European Pairs Final at Macon, with the event won by host nation France ahead of Poland and Latvia.
GB collected 16 points along with Denmark, who were placed higher on countback, with Italy and the Czech Republic completing the standings.
Adam Ellis scored 10+1 for GB with Chris Harris adding 6+1. Reserve Tom Brennan took one ride but did not score.

POOLE ended Leicester’s long unbeaten home record with a hard-fought 47-43 win at the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena on Saturday.
It was the Pirates’ first away league victory back at Championship level and they never trailed throughout a tight encounter with no more than four points between the sides.
The scores were level with two races to go but reserve Danyon Hume popped up with a vital win in Heat 14 as the Pirates edged back ahead, and then Steve Worrall competed an impressive display by holding off Nick Morris in the decider until the Lions man fell on the last lap.
Worrall scored 14 for the visitors with skipper Danny King adding 10+1. Hans Andersen won his first three races to finish on 12, as the Lions lost at home in an official match for the first time in nearly three years.
Leicester boss Stewart Dickson said: “I think Poole were the better side, and credit has to go to them.
“We can offer excuses, a couple of our guys were off-form, but the bottom line is Poole are a decent side, and I did say beforehand we had to make sure we kept the back door closed at home – and we didn’t do it.
“I’m not silly enough to think we’re going to be unbeaten the whole time I’m here, and now it’s about how we pick up and re-group – we have big meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday where we’ll try and claw back the points we lost tonight.”

EASTBOURNE star Edward Kennett blasted back to form in a 54-36 victory over Scunthorpe at Arlington.
Kennett raced to a 15-point maximum as the Eagles pulled clear in the second half of the meeting, with fellow heat-leaders Lewis Kerr (12) and Richard Lawson (11+2) also hitting double-figures.
Thomas Jorgensen racked up 14 points for the Scorpions, who remain second in the Championship table.
Kennett said: “I am over the moon. I have been struggling and there’s been a lack of confidence, sharpness and not riding enough, maybe.
“It got me down at one point. I nearly threw it all in. Everything I was trying kept backfiring.
“I went back, sat down, made some changes in myself and tried to think more positively about it. I shouldn’t have been riding the way I was, and I hold my hand up.”

BERWICK Bullets newcomer Luke Crang scored a paid maximum to inspire a narrow 46-44 NDL victory over Mildenhall at Shielfield Park.
The former Coventry Storm racer won his first four rides on his competitive comeback before combining with Kyle Bickley (14) for a 5-1 in the last heat after the Fen Tigers had gone into that race ahead.
Luke Ruddick and reserve Sam Hagon both scored 13+1 for the Fen Tigers, who had to settle for one league point after a dramatic encounter which saw the lead change hands eight times.
Berwick boss Gary Flint said: “Every time we went behind, we hit back and led again in one of the tightest matches I can remember.
“It was all done through top class teamwork which deserved the success they got after a huge effort, and we’re still top of the league on 15 points, three ahead of Leicester.”

KENT pulled off a 46-43 win at Eastbourne to secure a third successive away win in the National Development League.
Dan Gilkes raced to his third NDL maximum of the season (15) and combined with Ryan Kinsley (11+1) for the vital Heat 15 5-1 which secured victory.
Jake Knight (11+1), Danno Verge (11) and Richard Andrews (10) all scored double figures for the hosts but they went down to a second home defeat.

GLASGOW will be without Ulrich Ostergaard for today’s (Sunday) derby clash with Edinburgh, and for their upcoming Championship schedule.
The in-form Dane crashed in the aborted Heat 15 of the Tigers’ win at Armadale on Friday and it has been confirmed he suffered a broken wrist and lower back injury.
Jye Etheridge stands in as a guest for Ostergaard in the return clash at Ashfield, with the Monarchs operating rider-replacement for Nathan Greaves who also sustained an injury on Friday.

NEWCASTLE star Matthew Wethers suffered a dislocated shoulder and fractured arm in his crash at Redcar on Friday.
With Wethers on the sidelines, the Diamonds bring in Kyle Howarth to guest in today’s (Sunday) reverse fixture between the sides at Brough Park.
