GLASGOW and Poole are all set to fight out the first-ever Championship Grand Final to be staged in November.
The first leg takes place at Ashfield tonight (Tuesday) with the Wimborne Road return set for Thursday after the tie was previously hampered by the weather.
The Tigers name a full-strength side whilst Zach Cook has again been drafted in for the Pirates as their guest for the injured Stefan Nielsen.
Glasgow captain Ricky Wells said: “Poole are a tough team, but I believe Glasgow are also a strong team.
“I think the key to beating Poole will be a strong home leg. I don’t want to put a number on it, but everyone knows they need to be at their best.
“If we can have a solid showing at reserve and restrain some of the heat-leaders at home, I think we have more than a chance.”
Pirates skipper Danny King said: “Whichever club you race for, you obviously have the goal of winning titles, but even more so when you sign for Poole as they are a great club and have enjoyed a lot of success over the years.
“We did the job in the Cup last week but that is only half of it. We want to win the league title too, but we know how tough that is going to be.
“We have two very big meetings this week and so just need to push on like we have been doing all year.”

LEICESTER have been handed the major boost of a two-year extension to their deal with main team sponsors Watling JCB.
Andy Raine of Watling JCB was on hand at Grace Road, home of Leicestershire County Cricket Club, to reveal the news with co-owner Marc Bates and co-promoter Stewart Dickson at the club’s awards night last weekend.
Said Bates: “We cannot thank Andy and all at Watling JCB enough for their support.
“Sponsorship is such a vital part of professional sport, and we value their backing of Leicester Speedway.
“We always try to carry their identity in a professional manner, and it’s great to have them on board for 2022 and 2023.”

KENT Speedway Statement – From promoter Len Silver:
“It is with some personal sadness that I can report that as soon as the administration of Kent Speedway affairs is finalised, I will be retiring from all activities concerning Kent Speedway.
“I am stepping aside in the hope that a new younger person can take over the promotion of Speedway at Central Park and such a person will receive every possible help and advice from myself.
“The first seven years of my activities at Sittingbourne were a pure delight and enjoyable mainly because of the wonderful attitude of the fans of Kent. But 2021, starting with the Pandemic and the huge problems that it gave, followed by no less than seven rain offs and rider retirements, made the stress levels go through the roof.
Then my co-promoter, Roger Cearns, sold the stadium business with the proviso that Speedway remained, only to discover that the delay in receiving a written agreement was such that we were unable to plan for 2022 and we were forced to release all our riders. Other issues followed which brought about my decision.
“Speedway has been my life for 75 years and I have loved every minute of it until the last month or two. I sincerely hope that Speedway has a future at Central Park and I will do all in my power to help that happen.”
