WOLVERHAMPTON have confirmed youngster Leon Flint will again take their Rising Star position next season.
Flint was snapped up a month into the 2021 campaign following Tom Bacon’s decision to quit the sport, and he contributed important points as Wolves reached the Premiership play-offs.
Promoter Chris Van Straaten said: “We’re absolutely delighted that Leon has agreed to come back to Wolverhampton in 2022.
“He proved to be a popular addition to the team last season, and he certainly built up a relationship with our supporters.
“Not only is Leon a rider with a big future ahead of him, we also saw some progression during his time with Wolverhampton in 2021 also. He’s a nice lad, and he came and settled into the team straight away.”

PLYMOUTH have swooped to sign Danish star Hans Andersen after confirming Richard Lawson will not remain with the Gladiators.
Highly experienced Andersen heads to the Coliseum having made his Championship debut with Leicester this year, and the club plan to announce their final two riders later this week.
Promoter Mark Phillips said: “We are delighted to announce the arrival of another speedway superstar to spearhead our team in 2022 following on from Bjarne Pedersen and Jason Crump in 2021.
“Hans, together with Michael Palm Toft and Edward Kennett, will give us formidable top end strength and experience and we can’t wait to see them in action.”
The club have stated that Lawson, who had “verbally committed to the Gladiators for 2022” has decided “to focus more on his Premiership commitments with King’s Lynn next season and to seek opportunities elsewhere.”
