ESSLINGER TRIPLE CROWN SERIES AT PERTH MOTORPLEX
ESSLINGER TRIPLE CROWN SERIES
A stout field of 19 Speedcars are set to hit the Perth Motorplex high banks on Boxing Day to kick off the Esslinger Speedcar Triple Crown set to be run over three nights – December 26, January 2 and January 15.
Thanks to Bill Buckley at Esslinger Engineering, Speedcar drivers will be contesting the first ever Esslinger Engineering Speedcar Triple Crown Series, with some huge prize money incentives on the line.
The three round series will be held as part of the already existing calendar of shows at the Perth Motorplex.
Round One on December 26 forms part of the Boxing Day Bonanza event, Round Two, January 2, doubles as the 50th annual New Year Speedcar Derby and the series finale, to be held as a stand alone event, January 15!
Tom Payet and Kaiden Manders headline the 19-car field for the first round of the mini-series, with both drivers at the top of their game in the division currently sitting first and second in the points standings.
Payet enters the event with two wins and a third in the four events held so far, with Manders entering the event having three second place finishes.
Daniel Golding comes in with one win and a third place finish and sits third in the points standings.
With the likes of Fleming, Mears, Callaghan (one win for the season) and Alfie Gaudagnino plus a host of other drivers capable of pulling off a victory, the first round of the Esslinger Triple Crown is set to be exciting!
Each of the feature races across this series will be $2000 to win, while the first division two driver across the line will receive an extra $200 and second through to tenth in the feature race results will also receive a bonus $100 each in the prize money!
There have been some amazing anonymous sponsors come on board as well as Bill from Esslinger Engineering, and it is for that reason that we are also able to offer an extra incentive for the overall series points: $1500 for the series winner, $1000 for second place, $500 for third place and $500 also awarded to the first division two driver in points.
Points will be awarded on feature races only, utilising the same points system that the Perth Motorplex currently uses.
