BELLE Vue have named Connor Bailey as their No.8 rider for the upcoming Premiership season.
Bailey goes into the Aces’ squad three years after appearing for the club’s National Development League side in 2019, and he will also continue at Championship level with Glasgow.
Said Bailey: “I honestly never expected Mark [Lemon] to offer me the No.8 spot and it’s not an opportunity I was prepared to pass on.
“I’m really excited to be back at Belle Vue as part of this programme, it feels a bit like I’m coming home because I’ve not been back to the NSS since I rode for the Colts.
“If the time comes where I have that chance in the Premiership I want to be ready, and as Belle Vue’s No.8 I really hope that chance will come.
“The stadium speaks for itself, and it is such a professionally run club. I can’t wait to see what new challenges 2022 will bring.”

GREAT Britian’s Youth riders enjoyed a successful training day at Leicester on Tuesday.
25 riders took to the track with a mix from the 125cc, 250cc and 50cc categories, under the watchful eye of Youth boss Neil Vatcher and GB Coaches Jason Crump and Steve Worrall.
Current Youth champions Ben Trigger and Cooper Rushen were amongst the attendees.
Vatcher said: “After the terrible weather the country had witnessed over the weekend, Stewart Dickson and the Leicester track staff did a fantastic job to produce a superbly prepared track.”
The British Youth riders are set for plenty of early-season track time as, prior to their own multi-round Championship, they will be competing in five Testimonial/Farewell meetings in late March and early April.
