MONTE MOTORSPORT SAYS THANKS TO BUZZY!

April 27, 2022
It’s an emotional day for Monte Motorsport today. It’s long-serving crew chief Kim “Buzzy” Buswell’s final day.
After an incredible association with the Monte Motorsport juggernaut “Buzzy” is moving on to a new work direction and opportunity. Wilst it’s a sad day in one respect, team principal Luch Monte is pleased for his former crew chief and team manager.
“It’s important for “Buzz” to do this, you know,” he said. “He’s got an exciting new opportunity and he’ll make it a successful new part of his life. He always puts his all into everything he does. Jeff (Grubisa) and I know that all too well. He works his butt off. From driving the truck, prepping the team, dealing with the sponsors, setting the car up and maintaining the cars, he’s done everything. We’ll miss him and our door is always open for him but we wish him well.”
The track record for the Monte-Grubisa-Buswell amalgamation is phenomenal.
The mere sight of the big W17 rig rolling into town and the pits was enough to send fans into nervous excitement and rival teams into the knowledge that the job just got a little harder.
“I’m proud of everything we’ve achieved so far,” says Monte, “and Buzzy has been a huge part of that. It’s time for us to close this chapter on the Monte Motorsport book and we’ll see what happens in the future. For now though, we just wanted to say one thing to Buzzy. THANKS.”
