VEAL AND MONTE MOTORSPORT UNITE IN 2023

Victorian Jamie Veal will drive the Monte Motorsport W17 in 2023.
The 34 year old Warrnambool superstar has announced a short and sharp late season schedule where he’ll saddle up in the iconic W17 Maxim to run selected shows at Kwinana and Bunbury.
“It’s always fun racing with Luch and the Monte team,” said Veal today.
“To be honest, we had aimed to do a few more races together this season but my commitments have changed prior to Christmas so our dates in the West are scheduled for later in the season now.”
Veal will saddle up in the spectacular Monte Farms / RPM Race Products / Rumbold Ford / Frig Tech WA / Goldstar Transport / Spudshed Fresh Food Market / Homestyle Salads entry for events on April 1, 7, 8 and 21 in WA.
There are also plans for him to drive for the team in Darwin later in 2023.
Veal will be the second driver to wheel the Monte W17 in 2022/2023 with American superstar Tyler “Sunshine” Courtney booked in for WA Speedweek in December-January and the always epic “Classic” week at Avalon, Mount Gambier and Warrnambool.
“It’s going to be a great season,” says Luch Monte, “with Sunshine and Vealy driving for us and Dylan Buswell and Steve Melville (Melv working for the team with Veal) on the spanners we’ll have some real speed.”
The W17 looks spectacular this season with pre-season building of the cars and prep being laid by former Monte Motorsport crew chief Kim “Buzzy” Buswell in the lead up to Sunshine’s first race.
“It means a lot to us to have Buzzy at RPM Race Products getting the cars ready,” Monte explains, “nobody knows our cars better than him and of course I trust him with everything to do with this team. It’s perfect to then hand over the cars to first Dylan with Tyler and later Melv wrenching for Jamie.”
The signing of Jamie Veal to wheel the W17 to round out the season is a huge bonus for Monte Motorsport and West Australian Sprintcar fans.
