BECKER RETURNS TO WOLVERHAMPTON
WOLVERHAMPTON have made an early start to 2023 team building by announcing the return of Luke Becker for a fourth season.
The American scooped the club’s Rider of the Year award at their presentation evening on Sunday, receiving 54 per cent of supporters’ votes, and was also voted their Most Entertaining Rider of the season.
Wolves boss Peter Adams said: “Before he headed back home to America, Luke sat down with Chris (Van Straaten – promoter) and we’re delighted to announce that he agreed terms and he will be in the team again next year.
“Luke enjoys riding for Wolverhampton, we enjoy having him here, he continues to develop at this level and it will be another big year for him I’m sure.”

JODY Scott, Ashton Vale and Seth Norman were the category winners in Sunday’s final round of the British Youth Championship at Kent.
Scott took victory in the 500cc class after race leader Ace Pijper fell on the second lap.
Ben Trigger finished second on the day and third overall behind Sam McGurk and Max James, whilst the battle for silver in the 250cc class went down to the final race.
Vale’s victory on the day was enough to move him above Sonny Springer, who fell under pressure from his rival, meaning Vale took second overall behind Luke Harrison.
Stene Pijper clinched silver at 125cc level for the second year running after finishing third on the day, with Cooper Rushen already crowned champion and Oliver Bovingdon third overall.
The 125cc support class on the day was won by Adam Sidyk ahead of Charlie Fletcher and Stasiu Stevens.
Youth boss Neil Vatcher said: “This turned out to be a scintillating event.
“The Kent promotion and track staff must be given a whole load of credit and went above and beyond to get the meeting on, with rain in the Kent area all week and up and including an hour before start time.”
