KERR REMAINS A TIGER
SHEFFIELD have announced the return of Lewis Kerr after a successful stint with the Tigers in the second half of the season.
Kerr made 14 appearances for the Tigers having been released by hometown club King’s Lynn and piled up 98+12 from 14 appearances for the Owlerton side, who were runners-up in the Premiership Grand Final and won the League Cup.
Co-promoter Damien Bates said: “Lewi was brilliant from day one of joining Sheffield.
“When King’s Lynn let him go, we felt he could come in and strengthen our team at the time and he definitely did that.
“He had some excellent meetings on our way to the play-off Final and it was great to see him get himself going again after a tough year up until he came to us.“I still think he’s got a lot to offer the sport and he’ll be another key rider for us next season.”

STEFAN Nielsen is the third rider on his way back to Birmingham – and he becomes an official asset of the club.
Nielsen joined the Brummies for 2022 after for riding for Poole last year, and had a solid season before missing their closing matches of the campaign due to injury.
The Brummies have purchased his contract from Swindon via the British Speedway Promoters’ Ltd and he will now line up for the Perry Barr side for a second straight season.
Team boss Laurence Rogers said: “I think we saw enough from Stefan to justify bringing him back and I’m sure all Birmingham supporters would agree.
“He’ll start next season on a starting average of 4.82 and if people think back to his performances this year then they’ll know he’s a better rider than that figure.
“He’s feeling good, he’s feeling refreshed and we’re not only delighted to have him back in the team for next year, but also as a club asset as well which is key for future plans.”
