WOFFINDEN AND DOYLE FOR OCEANIA
Triple world champion Tai Woffinden makes a rare racing appearance Down Under as he joins the line up for the FIM Oceania Championship at Adelaide venue Gillman Speedway on December 28.
Great Britain hero Woffinden, who grew up in Western Australian city Perth, lines up in the continental championship showdown, where he is joined by 2017 world titleholder Jason Doyle.
Both men are big crowd favourites Down Under, and their presence adds spice to a huge meeting to bring the curtain down on 2022.
While Speedway GP duo Max Fricke and Jack Holder are not taking part, the line-up does feature 2020 FIM Speedway Under-21 World Championship winner Jaimon Lidsey and former Australian champion Rohan Tungate.
This year’s FIM Speedway GP of Great Britain – Cardiff wild card Adam Ellis will also compete in the FIM Oceania event as he continues his summer tour Down Under.
The meeting takes place just days before the 2023 Australian Championship series launches at Gillman on January 3, with a stellar line-up featuring Doyle, Fricke and brothers Chris and Jack Holder.
The rescheduled 2022 Australian Championship also takes place at Gillman this Saturday, (December 10) when Fricke defends the title he won in January 2020.
