BEWLEY HEADS UP BELLE VUE PREMIERSHIP DEFENCE
BRITISH Champion Dan Bewley is back in UK racing to spearhead Belle Vue’s Premiership title defence next season.
The World No.6, who won two GPs this year at Cardiff and Wroclaw, returns to his only previous domestic club after missing out on the top-flight campaign in 2022.
The Aces have also brought back former World Under-21 Champion Jaimon Lidsey, who last rode for the Manchester side in 2019, whilst Jake Mulford steps up from their Colts team to take the Rising Star berth.
Skipper Brady Kurtz, Charles Wright, Tom Brennan and Norick Blodorn are all retained from the squad which triumphed in the Grand Final over Sheffield.
CEO Mark Lemon said: “There were many options going into the team building process, but that wasn’t exactly a bad thing!
“We’re sad to see the likes of Max Fricke, Jye Etheridge and Matej Zagar miss out and we thank them for their commitment and service to the club in ending a 29-year drought between championships.
“But we’re thrilled to be bringing both Dan and Jaimon back to Belle Vue. This is not only a massive coup for speedway in Manchester, it’s a massive coup for all of British Speedway.
“We can’t wait to see all these guys in action and wearing the Aces’ iconic race suit come the new season in March.”
