GLASGOW GETS TITLE
GLASGOW have been awarded the 2023 British Under-21 Final, with the event to be staged at Ashfield Stadium on Sunday August 27.
Leon Flint of Berwick and Wolverhampton won the meeting last year at Birmingham, and will be eligible to defend his crown.
Tigers co-promoter Alan Dick said: “We don’t have a FIM event at Glasgow this year, but the prestigious Under-21 Final is a great meeting to stage and will showcase the very best of British talent from the three leagues.
“Our thanks go to the BSPL Board for awarding this meeting to Glasgow in August.”

IPSWICH have been boosted by an extension of their long-running team title sponsorship deal with the Tru7 Group.
The arrangement has been in place since 2016 and the Foxhall side will continue to be known as the Tru Mix Witches as they bid to challenge once again for Premiership honours. Co-promoter Chris Louis said: “Sponsorship is the lifeline of every speedway club, particularly these days, so to have a hugely successful family run business backing us is great.
“We have got such a great relationship with them, their business ties in so well with us from a practical sense as well as the support they give us. We are often in need of aggregates, machines and they always have the best, so it works really well for us.
“Guy and Jake (Nicholls) and the rest of the staff are hugely supportive, there are always staff and customers with them and there is always 20-30 people up there every week supporting us. They are very active in that sense and doing a deal is pretty straightforward.”
