IT’S GONNA BE HOT ON AND OFF THE TRACK
The Mainline DynoLog Dynamometers All Star Series is heading to Moama’s Heartland Raceway this Saturday night, February 18, and teams will be racing for $2K to win main event.
After the disappointment of a round one wash out recently, the series will honour their sponsor and still have the dollars on offer but the mini-series will be over two rounds instead of three. “We will still pay $2K to win for this show and the Mt Gambier show and still have $3K for the overall winner. We had committed to this and even though we lost a show, will still honour our word. Flocon have been involved with the series for a few seasons now and we need to follow through with what we say we are going to do,” Promoter Searle tells us.
The Foster Transport owned V18 driven by Chris Temby damaged an engine last week at Nyora but managed to secure another motor and to keep his Championship points alive.
Paul ‘Cyclone’ Solomon was dominant at Heartland a couple of weeks ago; this is one of his favourite tracks and will be looking for another podium. Young gun Todd Moule has been fast at every show and he will want to improve on his fourth placing last weekend.
Currently leading the championship is Mark Caruso and the team travels over from Adelaide in the Cool chassis SA#33. Throw in Corey Sandow, Chris Campbell, Kane Newcombe, Marcus Green, Dan Scott, BJ Harris, Jabba Bolitho, Brenten Farrer and these are just a few of the names lined up for Saturday night and it really is anyone’s race for the taking.
It’s going to be hot both on and off the track, so make sure you’re there to be part of it.
