LAMBERT TO RACE IN CRAVEN MEMORIAL
PREMIERSHIP title winner Robert Lambert will return to Belle Vue for the Peter Craven Memorial Trophy on March 20.
Lambert helped the Aces to the league title last autumn after coming in as a replacement for the injured Max Fricke, scoring 15-point maximums in both of his home play-off matches.
And former World Champion Nicki Pedersen, who is back in British Speedway with Peterborough this year, will be making his first racing appearance at the Manchester venue in the event.
Aces CEO Mark Lemon said: “This will be the first time since winning the Premiership that Robert has returned to the National Speedway Stadium, so it’ll be like a homecoming for him.
“He’s a World class rider at the top of his game, and with the success he has experienced in Manchester previously it’s fair to say that he will be another one to watch for the win in the Peter Craven.
“There is no denying Nicki is one of speedway’s most entertaining riders, and it is fantastic to have a three times world champion and such a high calibre rider.”
