ANTHONY BEARE ISSUES STATEMENT

Australian Street Stock Champion for 2023 Anthony Beare following his action after the running of the title at Bunbury Speedway last weekend.

It involved a heated confrontation with another competitor in an unsavoury incident on the back straight which brought the sport into disrepute.

“This was not the proudest moment of my racing career. To all my fans, sponsors, supporters and kids watching I apologise for my actions and this is not the example I want to set.

“I did receive a $500 fine for retaliation after the race and also a three month suspension for unsafe driving with the chequered flag.

“I one hundred percent agree with the fine and ban and fully expected it to be harsher if not disqualified on the weekend. For now, we will take a break from racing.”
