Mitch Randall is the new Australian V8 Dirt Modified Champion.
The event was one of the best ever conducted at Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway and was watched by a big crowd Easter Sunday night.
Randall recorded his first career national title victory as he was followed to the chequered flag by five time Australian titleholder Kevin Britten and former national number one Scott Cannon.
Fourth man home was an impressive Seiton Young who was always amongst the top runners at the head of the field.
Hard luck story of the race was Chris Corbett who led from the outset. Despite a couple of yellow light caution periods he maintained a solid pace out front before he withdrew after negotiating lapped traffic in the latter stages.

Defending and four time Australian Champion Mark Robinson ran in the top four for the first race of the race before he dropped several positions.
His title chances came to an end with a few laps remaining when involved in a traffic snarl and he was forced out of the event.
