COOPERS BREWERY: AUSTRALIAN SPEEDWAY CENTENARY NAMING RIGHTS SPONSOR
Organisers of the upcoming Australian Speedway Centenary are proud to announce Coopers Brewery has secured naming rights to the two-night centennial event, at North Brisbane Speedway, on December 28 and 29.
Coopers, Australia’s largest independent family-owned brewery and founded more than 160 years ago, is an ideal fit for the Australian Speedway Centenary, an event created to commemorate 100 magnificent years of speedway motorcycle racing.
“We warmly welcome Coopers, as the “official beer and naming rights partner”, of the Australian Speedway Centenary,” says event spokesperson, David Tapp.
“Coopers is a wonderful Australian product, as is the sport of speedway racing. Both brands have stood the test of time and flourished around the world, so we see a natural synergy between the two. “The Coopers Brewery Australian Speedway Centenary is indebted to Mr Heath Grosvenor, Coopers’ National Sales Manager – State Operations, for his support of our centennial event and we trust Coopers enjoys its association with the biggest domestic speedway event the nation has seen for several decades.”
Heath Grosvenor says Coopers Brewery is looking forward to its partnership with speedway’s 100-year milestone. “Speedway racing is a wonderful sport and Coopers is proud to be associated with its 100-year milestone at North Brisbane Speedway,” Heath said. “We’re really looking forward to the event and to be associated with what is a once-in-a-lifetime, sporting fixture, such as the Australian Speedway Centenary.”
The Coopers Brewery Australian Speedway Centenary features a stellar line-of sidecars on night one (December 28), with the staging of the Serco Sidecar Centurions Trophy; followed on night two (December 29), with the running of the Ikon Suspension 500cc Solo Centurion Classic featuring many of the world’s best riders from Australia, Denmark and Great Britain.
