ACES HAVE GERMAN FOR ANOTHER SEASON
BELLE Vue’s German star Norick Blodorn is delighted to be back for a third season at the National Speedway Stadium.
The 19-year-old increased his Sports Insure Premiership average to 5.83 last year although he admits the end of the campaign did not go according to plan following a series of crashes.
Blodorn said: “It’s no secret that I wasn’t feeling my best towards the end. I always give 100 per cent in my racing, but it was a real struggle with some of the injuries I was carrying.
“It’s a shame that had to happen but that’s part of speedway, and it’s given me extra incentive to prove myself next year. I want to turn that form around and help the Aces win the Final.
“With the progress I’ve made, I was worried I may not be back because of how my average has increased and it’s not easy to get a spot with so many riders coming back to the UK.
“But I’m happy I got the call. It’s been great to be part of this team, the spirit is unlike any other club and it’s without doubt one of the best tracks in the world.”

EDINBURGH have added Mark Parker to their line-up for his first full season with the Monarchs Academy in the WSRA National Development League.
18-year-old Parker made his debut with the Armadale side in the latter stages of 2023 and he now becomes their fourth signing for the new campaign.
He said: “There wasn’t much thinking to be done on whether I’d sign for Edinburgh or not. From the first time I rode with them I was welcomed by everyone, the advice I was given by all team members and management was and still is great. It has helped me progress so much in such a short space of time.
“I’m looking forward to working and learning a lot more with everyone in 2024. I’m hoping to excel even more in my speedway career.
“I have speed and technique around the bigger tracks now so I’m hoping I can take that to smaller tracks such as Armadale. I’d love to end the 2024 season on a high note being a heat leader.”
