AUSSIE DUO STARTERS IN PETER CRAVEN MEMORIAL
BELLE Vue stars Brady Kurtz and Jaimon Lidsey have been added to the line-up for the Peter Craven Memorial season-opener on March 18.
The Australian duo will both be amongst the favourites for the event at the National Speedway Stadium with captain Kurtz set to embark on his fourth season with the club whilst Lidsey has been in fine form in his own country this winter.
Aces CEO Mark Lemon said: “Brady is a world class performer, and since joining Belle Vue he has really bought into the spirit of the club and the whole Mancunian lifestyle.
“The supporters love him and I think this year is going to be a big season for him, and I’m certain he will want to get things off to a flying start.
“Jaimon has really come into his own over the last 12 months and we only have to look at his scores in Australia to see how he has continued to build on 2023.
“It’s immensely proud for me to see Belle Vue riders achieving great things outside of the club, and I feel confident that he could potentially be one of the many dark horses in the Peter Craven Memorial.”

BERWICK have undertaken winter track improvements including the moving back of the start line at Shielfield Park by around five metres.
The line has been relocated in order to increase the length of the run to the first bend as the Bandits look to further improve the quality of racing, following significant track widening work in recent years.
Promoter Steve Dews told berwickspeedway.com: “We are always looking to make tweaks and improvements which will give the riders all they need to entertain our spectators on a Saturday night.
“After talking to some very experienced riders and track curators we have gone ahead with the switch this winter.
“It’s a small change and probably won’t register with people in the stadium or watching on BanditsTV, but it will subtly change things for the riders and especially make for more even starts.”
The club have also carried out extensive maintenance to their Polyfoam barrier, installed in 2012, and have replaced the boarding behind the safety feature with a mesh fence.
