Following the disappointment of last weekend’s Australian V8 Dirt Modified Championship at Bundaberg’s Autobarn Carina International Speedway in Queensland being unable to be staged, due to the wet weather, the Dirt Modifieds Australia (DMA) committee are delighted to announce a rescheduled date.
In conjunction with the Carina Speedway promotional team, the DMA committee have made the decision to reschedule the 2024 Australian Championship back at the Carina Speedway track, but it will be held over a single night on the Saturday night of September 28.
“To say that not being able to hold the Australian Championship last weekend was disappointing for everyone concerned would be quite the understatement, but we are very pleased to be able to announce the reschedule of the event so soon,” commented DMA president Andrew Firth.
“I would like to thank the Carina Speedway promotional team for being so accommodating of our class and helping us quickly lock in a date for the reschedule of the Australian Championship, and we are now looking forward to starting the 2024-25 season with a major event like an Australian Championship.”
The DMA will have more details, as they come to hand during the off season, regarding the rescheduling of the 2024 Australian Championship, and everyone is now looking forward to the crowning of the class’s latest Australian Champion.
In other DMA news, this year’s National AGM for the DMA will be held on the Saturday of July 20 at the Pacific Bay Resort in Coffs Harbour (NSW).
