BRITISH SPEEDWAY: DOYLE INJURED
Aussie ace Jason Doyle sustained “some cracked ribs and a sore shoulder” according to his British club Ipswich after crashing out of their trip to King’s Lynn on Thursday night.
Doyle was taken to hospital for checks after tumbling in heat four of Witches’ 45-45 Rowe Motor Oil Premiership draw at the Adrian Flux Arena.
Witches won the super heat 6-3 for an extra league point in Doyle’s absence, but he now faces a spell on the sidelines, with his PGE Ekstraliga side Grudziadz confirming via Facebook that the Newcastle-born man will miss their home meeting with Torun on Sunday.
The two-time Marketa Stadium winner then faces a race against time to be ready for the Orlen FIM Speedway GP of Czech Republic – Prague on June 1.
Posting on their official Facebook page, Ipswich confirmed: “Early reports suggest that Jason Doyle is suffering from some cracked ribs and a sore shoulder. Speedy recovery, Doyley!”
