JASON DOYLE SET FOR MILDURA DECEMBER APPEARANCE
Australian Speedway icon Jason Doyle is the first name on the list for the 2024 Phil Crump Solo Classic on Sunday December 29 at Olympic Park Speedway, Mildura.
The 38-year-old 2017 World Speedway Champion is currently on the sidelines with a season-ending shoulder injury, but with rehab well under way, Doyle assures he will be ready to go come December to try and claim his first Phil Crump Solo Classic Trophy.
Before getting injured, Doyle was arguably in career best form leading the early stages of the 2024 SGP Series, going head-to-head with reigning World Champion Bartosz Zmarzlik and fellow Aussie Jack Holder.
“JD is a great get for Mildura” said MMCC Solo Co-ordinator Ryan Sedgmen.
“Unfortunately for Doyley he has hurt his shoulder which has ruled him out of his European season. With rehab well under way, there is no doubt he’ll be good to go later in the year. We missed out last time he was in Australia with the floods, so to be able to get a legend of Australian Speedway back at Olympic Park is really pleasing.”
More exciting signings will be released over the coming months with the club working hard to try and secure the services of some high profile foreign riders along with our top Australian Internationals.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at the gate Sunday December 29.
