PLAISTED, FIRTH, HUDSON AND NIESCHE COMPLETE SIDCAR LINE-UP FOR IKON SUSPENSION ISM

The final four sidecar teams have been announced to contest the Ikon Suspension International Speedway Masters at Adelaide’s Gillman Speedway Stadium, on Friday night, December 27.

Current Australian Champions, Mark Plaisted and Ben Pitt have confirmed their participation, along with reigning Queensland #2, Stuart Firth and Jason Martin.

In addition, former Australian Longtrack Champion, Shane Hudson/Jack Spear and Damien Niesche/Adam Niesche, complete what is a star-studded rider line-up, contesting the lucrative Darrin Treloar Cup, conducted on night one of the two-night ISM24.

In what ranks as one of the strongest international speedway sidecar fields ever assembled, the teams announced today occupy the final four slots in the elite sixteen team field, comprising representatives from America, New Zealand and Australia.

Brisbane based star, Stuart Firth, says the event features one of the best rider line-ups he’s ever seen assembled in the sport.

“This is a red hot line-up and Jason (Martin) and I are grateful we’ve been given a crack in what is an unbelievable field. I mean, how can you confidently predict a winner in this one?

“It’s fitting that such a good group of riders, and passengers, are taking part in an event honouring, Darrin Treloar, the guy we’ve all been chasing for so many years.

“I really can’t wait for this event and it’s tremendous to see it coming together the way it is, especially with the inclusion of the huge big screen, the live streaming and the TV coverage.

“The ISM24 is the only event on the calendar that guarantees a huge amount of TV coverage, which is so very important, on every level. Bring it on!”
