DENMARK’S JONAS JEPPERSEN FOR INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY MASTERS
Danish speedway international, Jonas Jeppersen, has signed to contest the Ikon Suspension International Speedway Masters, at Gillman Speedway Stadium in Adelaide.
The two-time Danish Under 21 Champion, will contest the Leigh Adams Medal, for solos, on night two of the #ISM24, joining an elite field comprising riders from Australia, England, America and the Czech Republic.
Jonas Jeppersen was born and raised in the Province of Syd Jylland in Denmark, the same region that produced former international rider, Jan Staechmann, who rode in the inaugural International Speedway Masters in 1995, winning the Geelong (VIC) round of the series (in subsequent years).
Jeppersen’s invitation to contest the #ISM24 was strongly endorsed by Jan Staechmann and compatriot, Danish triple World Champion, Nicki Pedersen.
In European racing, Jonas Jeppersen, competes in league racing with the Esbjerg Vikings (Denmark), Polonia Pila (Poland) and Vargana Norrkoing (Sweden).
“I’m incredibly excited to have been invited to compete at the Ikon International Speedway Masters,” enthused Jeppersen.
“I have always wanted to come to Australia, a country with a massive reputation when it comes to producing great speedway riders.
“I have heard lots of great things about the Gillman track, and I am sure it will suit me. I am really looking forward to mixing it with the top Aussie boys and the other foreigners that are taking part.”
Jonas Jeppersen will be riding a bike owned and prepared by Australian speedway legend Leigh Adams.
