KEMP RETURNS TO BANDITS
BERWICK have made an early announcement that their unanimous Rider of the Year Drew Kemp will return for the club next season.
Kemp swept the board at the Bandits’ presentation night as he won online, Supporters’ Club and team-mates’ awards, and the Shielfield Park side have acted quicky to confirm he will be back for a second campaign in their colours.
Said Kemp: “I loved every minute of last season and I would also like to thank the supporters for making me so welcome.
“I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else and I’m delighted to come back next season.
“Having been at reserve for most of my career before this, it was a natural progression to become an established top five rider.
“Next year I’ll probably start in one of the heat leader roles and that will be a new level with new goals.”

GREAT Britain trio Tom Brennan, Dan Thompson and Leon Flint are in Italy today (Sunday) for the final international event of the season.
They compete in the FIME European Pairs Final at Lonigo having booked their place in August at Stralsund when Birmingham and Poole racer Brennan scored a spectacular 18-point maximum.
The opposition includes plenty of familiar faces with Belle Vue’s Norick Blodorn lining up for Germany, his Aces team-mate Antti Vuolas (also Workington) races for Finland, and Edinburgh captain Paco Castagna represents the hosts.
The field is completed by Latvia, a young Polish team, and a strong Danish line-up featuring two former Premiership racers, Rasmus Jensen and Frederik Jakobsen.
