SEDGMEN RIDES FOR EDINBURGH IN 2025
EDINBURGH have kicked off their 2025 team building with the signings of Justin Sedgmen and Victor Palovaara.
Australian star Sedgmen returns for a fifth season in total with the Monarchs after a strong Cab Direct Championship campaign as a heat-leader this year, until two crashes in the latter stages put him on the sidelines.
He said: “I’m really looking forward to next year, it should be a great year. I really believe we can build on last season and have a great year in 2025.”
Meanwhile Swedish racer Palovaara is back with the club for the first time since 2019, having spent two part-seasons at Armadale.
He said: “I look forward to racing Armadale again and I feel like I’ve improved a lot as a rider since last time. I’ve done a lot of racing and I feel like a more capable rider now.
“I look forward to showing what I’ve got and getting some good scores for the team. I’m really happy to be back.”

LEICESTER manager Stewart Dickson says he’s happy with the continuity within the side he has assembled for 2025.
The Lions will go into the new season with just one change from the team which finished runners-up in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership this year, as Kyle Howarth comes in to replace Richard Lawson who has joined King’s Lynn.
Dickson said: “With the 40-point remaining the same, Leicester and one or two other teams have had to shed a couple of points, so we always knew we were going to have to lose one of our top five no matter what we did.
“We were two points above the limit, so we had to make a change to get back under, and people have to remember this is the price you pay for finishing second in the league.
“We’ve made minimal changes and been loyal to the riders, and the riders have also been loyal to us. I think coming back to Leicester will do Kyle the world of good, and the other riders are settled here and know what they’re coming back to.
“We should be very solid again and for me, I’m happy with what we’ve got.”
