DOUBLE GP DELIGHT
MANCHESTER’S National Speedway Stadium at Belle Vue will host a double-header of FIM Grand Prix racing next season.
The NSS had already been named as a staging venue for the first time in 2025 but the event has now been expanded to two meetings on June 13-14.
This follows the decision taken by series rights holders Warner Bros. Discovery Sports to withdraw the planned event at Cardiff in August from the calendar.
Jean-Baptiste Ley, Motorsport Events Director at WBD Sports, said: “Firstly, I would like to thank all our partners who have helped us to stage a fantastic sporting event at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff in recent years.
“I would also like to place on record that Warner Bros. Discovery Sports remains committed to delivering an action-packed, engaging 2025 FIM Speedway GP series that can be enjoyed by millions of fans.
“In 2025, we are incredibly excited to bring the FIM Speedway GP series to the iconic National Speedway Stadium in Manchester, a true heartland of the sport, meaning British fans can still watch their favourite riders live and in-person next season as part of an exciting double-header.
“The difficult but necessary decision to replace Cardiff on the 2025 calendar, made in close consultation with the FIM, has not been taken lightly.
“It is a decision we have made for commercial reasons and a move that ensures the long-term sustainability of the series.”

EDINBURGH captain Paco Castagna is heading back for a fourth season at Armadale in 2025.
Castagna took over as skipper of the Monarchs this year and is targeting further improvement personally – after adding nearly two points to his average – as well as team success in the Cab Direct Championship.
He said: “I’m super, super happy to be back for my fourth year. It has been three good years with very good people.
“I’m looking forward to being in the team again next year. It looks like it has got lots of potential – some new faces, some old faces – I’m very much looking forward to it.
“I am proud to be named captain again and everybody saw how much I loved it this year and how much it improved my game.”
