KLINDT IS NUMBER ONE
PLYMOUTH have pulled off the shock signing of Danish star Nicolai Klindt to take their No.1 berth this season.
Klindt returns to the Cab Direct Championship for the first time since winning the title with Workington in 2018, and the Gladiators believe he is a rider of exactly the calibre they have been chasing.
Promoter Mark Phillips said: “The opportunity to acquire a genuine No.1 rider who can take on and beat any rider in the league on any track is an option that we have sought since we returned to this level in 2021, but have been thwarted in finding due to circumstances beyond our control.
“When I look at the comparative averages of those riders doubling up in the Championship this season, only Richard Lawson and Sam Masters have higher PL (Premiership) averages, and I also feel that Nicolai has more scope to improve on his current PL average once fully race fit and dialled in.
“Both Garry (May) and myself are delighted with his signing and I am sure that all of our very loyal and wonderful supporters will cheer this signing to the rafters.
“I think that Nicolai can be the best rider in the 2025 Championship bar none!”

LEICESTER have secured a new two-year stadium sponsorship deal with leading hose, hydraulics and fluid transfer company Hydroscand.
The club’s Beaumont Park home will be known for the duration of the agreement as the Hydroscand Arena.
The Stockholm-based business has several UK branches, with their base in Nottingham, and they have recently acquired local company Leicester Hose and Hydraulics who were sponsors of the Lions.
LHH founder Gary Brooks said: “It’s coming up to a decade now that we’ve been sponsoring Leicester, and it was this time last year that I sold the business to Hydroscand.
“That makes LHH part of the Hydroscand Group, and it’s great that we’ve been able to enhance our support for the club still further by bringing an even bigger name on board.
“I invited them along to the (play-off) semi-final against Ipswich, which was such an incredible finish, and really they were hooked from that.
“I’m delighted to be able to hand it over in this way, with an enhanced arrangement.”
