KING’S Lynn manager Rob Lyon says retaining key members of last year’s side was a big part of the overall jigsaw for 2025.
The Stars have rebuilt for the new ROWE Motor Oil Premiership campaign, but Czech Republic crowd favourite Jan Kvech and club legend Niels-Kristian Iversen are both back after strong runs in the second half of last season.
Skipper Nicolai Klindt returns from long-term injury with Lynn also bringing in established top-flight performers Richard Lawson, Chris Harris and Ben Cook along with Rising Star Ashton Boughen.
Lyon said: “In Jan’s case, he really enjoyed himself and settled in very well here, pretty much straight away.
“I think he enjoyed British speedway as much as he enjoyed King’s Lynn itself, so it was a no-brainer for us to bring him back.
“With Niels, I think in the first half of last season we were all a little unsure as to where he was going, because he was struggling .“But in the second half of the year he really kicked on, ironically in adversity because the teams we were having to put out at the time were pretty much patched up.”

POOLE newcomer Lewis Kerr believes a strong start to the season will help him secure a team place back in the top-flight this year.
Kerr has joined the Cab Direct Championship treble winners for 2025 but has so far been overlooked for a ROWE Motor Oil Premiership place after completing last season with King’s Lynn.
He will still be active in the early weeks prior to the start of Championship racing, as he is named in the line-up for both the Ryan Douglas Testimonial at Leicester on March 22 and then the Ben Fund Bonanza at Oxford the following day.
Kerr said: “I’m really excited to be at Poole, probably the most excited I’ve been for a season in a long time. It’s about an hour and a half closer than what Berwick was last season.
“I was as surprised as anyone that I didn’t get a Premiership place, but as long as I prove I’m OK and start the season well then I think someone will come in.”
