FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14
Callum Williamson claimed night one of the Total Tools Krikke Boys Shootout at the Perth Motorplex, Friday, February 14, from James McFadden and Kerry Madsen.
Williamson was originally slated to start from p4 for the 30-lap finale, but was promoted to the front row after Lachlan McHugh pulled infield with mechanical issues before the field even took the green.
He started the night by being quickest in his qualifying group, taking a second in his heat race and then second in the A Dash.
Williamson won the race to the lead in the first turn and was never challenged.
Jacob Smith headed infield on the first lap, while two laps in Andrew Priolo spun, activating the caution lights.
Five laps in Williamson led from Ryan Newton, Jason Pryde, Madsen and Kinghsott.
Newton headed infield on lap 11, and then it was a game on between Madsen and McFadden, with the latter getting the spot in the run to the checkers.
It was a big recovery from the newly-crowned Australian champion who started from p9 after the team was forced to change the driveline after the B Dash, after winning his first race race.
Madsen came from p13 for the final podium placing, backing up his win at the same venue on Wednesday night.
Marcus Dumesny was fourth after starting from p8, while Dayne Kingshott was fifth after starting from fifth.
Kaiden Manders took sixth after charging through from p19, while Mick Saller was seventh from his p12 start.
Jock Goodyer was eighth after starting from p14, ahead of Taylor Milling who was ninth after starting from p7.
Earlier in the night Milling set the Victory 1 Performance Quick Time.
Jason Pryde rounded out the top 10 after starting from p3.
Daniel Harding was 11th (from p6), Ryan Lancaster was 12th (from p20), Jason Kendrick 13th (from p11), Cory Eliason 14th (from p16), Kris Coyle 15th (from p18), Priolo 16th (from 27), Michael Keen 17th (from p25), Michael Pickens 18th (from p21), Luke Oldfield 19th (from p15), Cameron McKenzie 20th (from p24), Brad Maiolo 21 (from p21), Aaron Chircop 22nd (from p23), Dylan Menz 23rd (from p1) and Jaydee Dack 24th (from p28).
