TOOWOOMBA SPEEDWAY’S ULTIMATE PINK NIGHT, FEBRUARY 22
The Dondex Sheds, Garages and Carports Ultimate Pink Night is back this coming Saturday night, February 22 at Hi-Tec-Oils Toowoomba Speedway.
The venue has once again teamed up with the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation to raise money for BreastScreen Toowoomba. Over $70,000 from this event has been raised over the past three seasons and this year the track needs your help to get to ( and over!) the $100,000 amount which is the ultimate goal in 2025.
Sprintcars, Super Sedans and Modlites are on the program – the latter will contest the Everyday Finance Solutions Ultimate Modlites Series and are ready to be a part of this fantastic special night of Speedway with a practice scheduled for Friday night.
As an added attraction this year Speedway fans will get to see Lockie McHugh, Luke Oldfield and Ryan Newton race a Modlite in the Dondex Allstar Exhibition Race. That sees six drivers race off in a series of match races with the driver who accumulates the most points, crowned the overall winner. The Sprintcar drivers take on Australian Modlite Champion Ryan Silcock along with Toowoomba’s Nathan Politch and Rodney Pammenter.
Super Sedans return Ultimate Pink Night for the grand final of the Toowoomba Couriers and Transport Ultimate Super Sedan Championship.
Darren Kane and Ian Boettcher Race Parts Super Sedan team, will run the special pink livery on Saturday night to create awareness and continue the fight to drive out cancer. Ian Boettcher Race Parts have kindly donated Darren Kane’s “5-Times” Pink Helmet that has been specially designed for Ultimate Pink Night. Darren has personally autographed the helmet and includes the years of the five National Super Sedan Titles he’s won during his illustrious career.
Sean Black will be part of a quality 23 car plus count which includes JJ Hamilton , Jye and Mark O’Brien. Former National Champion Trent Wilson along with Justin Randall and Zac Pascoe just to name a few of the biggest names in Queensland Super Sedan Racing competing on Saturday night.
Black finished 2nd recently in Hobart for the Super Sedan Grand National, a perfect way to finish his Tasmanian trip this summer, and now back at home will certainly be one to watch on Saturday night.
Tarhlea Apelt has a Pink Night Sponsorship Opportunity and Pink Night Livery for Saturday . Tarhlea Apelt Racing has done well by raising $2,000 for BreastScreen Toowoomba through their top wing sponsorship auction.
The team committed to doing their part to raise much needed funds and awareness of breast cancer. Nick Whell will be amongst the action and has been in good form in recent outings. The Current Queensland Champion is well suited to his home track knowing his way around Toowoomba’s Hi-Banks, he will certainly be on the pace come Saturday night.

Dane And Andrea Beerling from Dondex Sheds Garages and Carports, are not only huge supporters of our Speedway, they have donated a LYSAGHT 6m x 6m Carport valued at over $3,500. Other Items include a signed Michael Stewart Pink Night Helmet that he will wear on Saturday Night. Luke Oldfield has a signed Top Wing Panel from his 2023/24 season.
Here’s one that every Speedway fan would want . The 2025 Australian Sprintcar Title flag signed by the majority of the drivers including James McFadden and three generations of Braziers, Steve, Garry and Jordyn, donated by Lachlan McHugh Racing. Sedl Contracting has kindly donated a Bekka Air Helicopter Signature Winery Tour for two people, visiting four wineries and includes scenic flights over Brisbane and Gold Coast CBD.
