HARRIS PUTS TEAM FIRST
KING’S Lynn newcomer Chris Harris says team success is more important than the potential for him to take extra rides.
The Stars will go into the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership season with Harris starting at reserve, meaning the former British Champion could take up to seven rides a meeting in at least the early stages of the campaign.
He said: “I know I could be taking more rides, people say that, but I’ve got to make sure I’m on top of my game.
“If I’m not scoring the points then I won’t be having these extra rides – and hopefully the team is winning and I don’t need to have them.
“Much as it’s nice to have more rides because it’s more money in my pocket if I score the points, we want to make sure the whole team is working as a unit, and I think the seven of us can.”
