INCLEMENT WEATHER DELAYS GRAND FINAL
THE National Development League Grand Final between Oxford and Leicester has been delayed by the weather.
Wednesday’s scheduled first leg at Cowley has been postponed due to the impending arrival of Storm Babet, which also meant early call-offs for meetings at Poole and Birmingham.
Leicester’s home leg of the Grand Final has also been put back from Saturday to Sunday, with a 3pm start as part of a double-header which will also feature the re-arranged KO Cup Final second leg between the Lion Cubs and Mildenhall.

ZACH Cook described winning the last ever Olympique event at Monmore Green on Monday as “pretty special.”
The Aussie has come up with some big performances for Wolverhampton in 2023 and saved another impressive display for the club’s annual individual event – although he admitted the unique handicap format took some getting used to!
Cook said: “I had a quick look at the names on the trophy before the meeting and there’s quite some big names on there.
“So to add mine on there for the last one is pretty special for myself.
“It was a bit confusing at the start because I didn’t really know how it worked.
“It was different, definitely something out of the ordinary, but it was good fun.”

TOM Brennan has announced he will be leaving Cab Direct Championship winners Glasgow this winter.
Brennan joined the Tigers midway through the 2021 campaign and helped them to finally lift the title last week, scoring 9+2 and 9+1 in the two legs of the Grand Final victory over Poole.
He posted to social media: “I’d just like to say a massive thank you to Glasgow and fans for supporting me the past two-and-a-half years in what has been a very difficult time at points, both on and off the track.
“I had a message from the management to say that I’m not in their plans for 2024.
“I have great memories with the club, obviously the stand-out being winning the Championship last week with a great group of lads as team-mates.“Thank you to everyone involved again and good luck for the future.”
