ACT SPEEDCAR TITLE $2000-TO-WIN NOVEMBER 4
The ACT Speedcar Championship is expected to attract and impressive entry list to commence the season at Fairbairn Park Speedway on Saturday, November 4.
Nominations close today for the first event of the Speedcar Association of NSW club championship with leading drivers from across NSW and Victoria already making their plans to head to Canberra.
With over 25 cars expected to take on the challenging 410-metre clay track at Fairbairn, it will be an important event for all the Speedcars competitors.
Third generation racer Matt Jackson from Sydney is a former NSW and Victorian State Champion and he is looking forward to kicking off his season this weekend, he reflected on his efforts at ACT Speedway last year. “The track caught me a little off guard last year, and I had a roll over, but we were able to make the repairs and I was able to race in the feature.”
In her second season of Speedcar competition, Victorian Zoe Pearce is also looking forward to a successful weekend in Canberra.
Pearce is a 17-year-old racer who has already work her way through a number of divisions starting in Quarter Midgets, moving onto Junior Formula 500s and last year graduating to the Speedcars. “I am looking forward to starting my season in Canberra at the ACT Speedway, I raced there in the Junior Formula 500 and enjoyed the track, so I am looking forward to my first run there in a Speedcar.”
Gates open at 4 pm each race night. The first race will start at 5:30pm and the last will finish by 10:30 pm. Food and drinks will be available onsite.
