DANE ALIGNS WITH THE STARS

DANISH star Niels-Kristian Iversen is relishing his return to King’s Lynn as the Stars seek to climb the Sports Insure Premiership table.

The former World No.3 is back at the Adrian Flux Arena full-time for the first time since 2018, and is eager to see the Norfolk side fight back from a series of tough seasons post-pandemic.
Iversen, who rode for Peterborough last year and finished the campaign in top form, said: “I’m super excited to be back at King’s Lynn for 2024.

“It’s been some time since I was in the team full-time, so I’m super excited and super pumped for the new year.
“I hope everybody is excited for the team for 2024, and hopefully we can bring silverware to the club. It’s been some time, so we’re ready to go!”

LEICESTER will have a new mini-track installed by the start of the season as part of a further commitment to assist Youth rider development.
The Lions are under new ownership this year, and have called upon the experience of Workington promoters Steve Lawson and Andrew Bain to assist with the work to create the track on their centre-green.

Promoter Stewart Dickson said: “The mini-track is a really exciting project, and we must give credit to our owner Paul Cairns because whilst we’ve spoken about this before, it was his idea to re-visit it and finally get it over the line.

“I saw Neil Vatcher’s recent statement regarding the British Youth Championship, where they already have 21 riders at 125cc level coming through this season, which is fantastic.
“This really matches with Paul’s vision which he spoke about when he first took the club on, and again it’s why we wanted to get this work done.”
