THIRD GENERATION RIDER FRAZER BOWES SIGNS FOR INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY MASTERS
Twenty-two year old, Adelaide born international rider, Fraser Bowes, has signed to contest the International Speedway Masters, at Gillman Speedway, on December 28.
Bowes, a third generation racer, will line up as a part of a stellar international Solo field, contesting the Leigh Adams Medal, on the second night of the ISM24 two-night blockbuster.
Fraser’s Grandfather, Len Bowes, is a former Australian Sidecar Champion, whilst his dad, Shane Bowes, was a top flight international Solo star, during a highly competitive era, featuring many of the world’s greatest ever riders. It was of course inevitable, that Fraser would follow in their tyre tracks.
During the European season, Fraser is based at Lublin in Poland, where he’s resided for the past three years. His current clubs are; Orlen Oil Motor Lublin (Poland), Solkatterna Karlstad (Sweden) and Morizes in France.
The highly professional young rider is the current Victorian 500cc Senior Champion. He has also finished runner-up in the South Australian Championship and was crowned Western Australian Champion (125cc) earlier in his junior career.
On the international scene, Fraser has raced for Australia in the Speedway of Nations 2 and won the Ekstraliga Championship with Motor Lublin in 2022.
“I am excited about racing in the International Speedway Masters in December,” Fraser said.
“I’m hearing it’ll be a stacked field with several SGP stars, so I’ll gain invaluable experience racing against many of the best guys in the world. The event looks destined to be the biggest show in Aussie bike speedway this summer.
“I’m indebted to all of my valued sponsors and supporters back at home in Australia, all of whom make it possible for me to focus on my career. I simply couldn’t do it without them.”
There will be further announcements regarding solo stars taking part in the International Speedway Masters in coming days.
