GP OF DENMARK: JENSEN REPLACES MADSEN
Former Danish champion Rasmus Jensen has received a late call-up for the Deluxe Homeart FIM Speedway GP of Denmark – Vojens after 2023 winner Leon Madsen confirmed his withdrawal.
Madsen was caught up in a crash with Aussie star Jack Holder in heat 18 of the OlyBet FIM Speedway GP of Latvia – Riga and continues to feel the after-effects of the incident.
As Speedway GP fourth series substitute, Jensen is drafted into the starting line-up for his home event, where he stormed into the semi-finals in 2022 as a wild card, before scoring six points in 2023.
Jensen won the 2022 Danish Championship and featured in the 2023 Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup, which saw Denmark win the bronze medals. He was also part of their 2024 FIM Speedway of Nations side, which claimed sixth spot in Manchester.
Rider number 67 also has a place in the FIM SGP Challenge at Czech track Pardubice, where the top four riders secure full-time places in the 2025 Speedway GP series.
We wish Leon a speedy recovery and return to racing.
