EMIL WILL BE A 2025 WITCH
EMIL Sayfutdinov has agreed terms on a return to Ipswich in 2025.Former World No.3 Sayfutdinov has starred for the Witches in the last two seasons, and their title chances in the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership this year took a major hit when he was injured in a crash at Sheffield. And he says he’s determined to help the Foxhall side as they look to win the top-flight crown for the first time since way back in 1998.
Sayfutdinov said: “There is a good team atmosphere, and I was thinking about this before signing again and I want to fight again because we wanted to be champions the last two years and we haven’t achieved that yet, but we will try again to do it.“The team is really strong, but everything is won out on the track. Everyone in this team can score points and that is what we need to keep feeling fresh and not tired. “Everyone makes it a good atmosphere and we want to have a successful season. Hopefully a year later we finally get a gold medal.”

IPSWICH have confirmed Dan Thompson will be back in their colours next year as he steps out of the Rising Star berth.
Thompson, who made the move to Foxhall from Leicester, will start the 2025 ROWE Motor Oil Premiership campaign at No.6 for the Witches to form a strong lower-order combination with Jordan Jenkins.
He said: “It’s given me a bit of continuity going into next year, I joined halfway through 2023 so this will be almost my third season with the club. It is definitely a good club to be a part of and it was an easy decision.
“All the people around Ipswich, Chris (Louis) and Ritchie (Hawkins), the fans make it a great club. It is a difficult track but learning it every week has brought me on as a rider and individual, and another year will only benefit me.
“I want to try and win some silverware with Ipswich; I missed out on the Knockout Cup trophy when we won that through injury. Ipswich had faith in me to join the club so it would be nice to reward them with a bit of silverware that we have come so close to.”
