BANDITS NEW SPONSOR ANNOUNCED
BERWICK have unveiled a new main team sponsorship deal for 2025 with Northumberland-based R.E.D Campers.
The club will enter the Cab Direct Championship campaign with backing from the family business who specialise in creating bespoke permanent and removable units, along with undertaking full conversions on vans, larger motorhomes and 4x4s.
R.E.D Campers have previously sponsored the club and individual Bandits riders, and they now step up as title sponsors.
Club owner Jamie Courtney said: “Since taking over Berwick speedway in 2017 I’ve got to know Paul and Louise (Rushton) well and I’m very pleased to see them become our title sponsor for the new season.
“Sponsorship is invaluable when it comes to keep the bikes roaring at Shielfield Park and to have the backing of such a respected, locally-based company is very satisfying.
“We are preparing for Berwick’s 58th consecutive season of racing and have assembled a competitive side, thanks in no small part to support from companies like R.E.D.”

REDCAR No.1 Charles Wright says the club’s senior riders will keep the pressure off their two new reserves this season.
The Bears go into the Cab Direct Championship campaign with a new combination at Nos. 6 and 7 having moved to sign British U19 Champion Ace Pijper and Tom Spencer, the latter securing his first full-time team place at this level.
Wright said: “I will help both of the boys where I can, but we have more experience in the side this season so we can all chip in and help Ace and Tom out.
“Ace has had a few years of Championship experience with Glasgow, but with Redcar he should be able to perform without pressure which will help him.
“Tom is pretty new to me but the promotion have obviously seen something in him from the National Development League, and again there will be no pressure on him.
“Also, don’t forget, we also have Danny (King) and Erik (Riss) who can help not just the reserves out, but everyone out.”
