EDINBURGH set up a Championship play-off semi-final against rivals Glasgow with a 57-33 victory over Redcar at Armadale.
The Monarchs had an early shock when Sam Masters fell in the opening race, but quickly took control to win by a massive 36-point aggregate margin.
Josh Pickering scored 12+1 with Richie Worrall adding 10+1, but pride of place went to reserve Drew Kemp with a four-ride paid maximum (9+3). Lewis Kerr scored 12 for the Bears including wins in Heats 13 and 15.
Edinburgh boss Alex Harkess said: “I was a little bit nervous at the start expecting Redcar to come back at us, especially when Sam Masters came off in the first race.
“But the team just got on with it, everyone in very good form, and in the end there was nothing to worry about.
“Congratulations especially to Drew Kemp on his paid maximum.”

LEICESTER sailed into the Championship play-off semi-finals by beating Scunthorpe 38-28 in a curtailed fixture on Tuesday.
Nick Morris scored a 12-point maximum for the Lions with the match abandoned prior to the re-run of Heat 12 due to the weather and track conditions.
Guest reserve Connor Mountain scored 7+2 for the visitors, who remained in touch on the night until conceding 5-1s in Heats 9 and 10, but went down to a 28-point aggregate defeat.
Leicester manager Stewart Dickson said: “It wasn’t ideal, but I’d like to give credit to both sets of riders because they were keen to give it a go.
“We did plan to go to Heat 15, but there were one or two crashes in the latter heats, it was beginning to rain again, and we had to be sensible.
“We didn’t want to just get to Heat 10 and stop the meeting as has happened before in other matches, and everybody gave it a go, although I’m not going to kid anyone that it was a great spectacle.”

KENT had four unbeaten riders in a 59-31 NDL win over a depleted Leicester side at Central Park.

Stand-in captain Tom Spencer scored 8+2 for the Lion Cubs and reserve Mickie Simpson took their only victory and collected 7+2.
