OXFORD have signed Josh Macdonald and Dillon Ruml to complete their Championship line-up for 2022.
Aussie racer Macdonald joins the re-formed Cheetahs after spending last season with Scunthorpe whilst USA star Ruml makes the switch from Plymouth for his second campaign in the UK.
Promoter Jamie Courtney said: “Josh and Dillon are both young riders with great potential who have the attitude and determination required to improve their existing averages.
“We’re pleased to have reached an agreement and look forward to welcoming them back to the UK soon ahead of our return to the shale this spring.
“We’re not here to make up the numbers, we want to compete and challenge for top honours which I believe is possible with the team we’ve put together.
“I’d like to thank everyone for their messages of support thus far, we’re really excited to welcome our fans trackside later this year.”

DAN Thompson will be back to take the No.1 race-jacket for Leicester’s Lion Cubs side in the new season.
Like his brother Joe, Thompson will line-up at both Championship and NDL level for the East Midlands club, and he starts the latter on a 10.17 average which was exceeded by only two riders in the competition last year.
Manager Dave Howard said: “It’s great that the adaptation in the NDL rules allows us to have Dan back for a third full season with the Lion Cubs.
“After a great year in 2021, Dan will again be in the top echelon of the NDL averages and leading the Lion Cubs’ efforts in 2022 from the front.
“He’ll be boosted further by his Championship and Premiership racing, as well as challenging for the NDL Individual and Pairs honours too.”

BERWICK have handed 15-year-old British Youth star Ace Pijper his first team place in the National Development League.
Pijper will line up for the Bullets this season bringing him to the same club as his father Theo, who will be racing for the senior Bandits team.
Team manager Gary Flint said: “We are delighted to welcome Ace on board for 2022 and we want to give him the freedom to enjoy his racing and progress at his own pace.
“He is a very talented young man with a great family behind him. The spirit and knowledge in the Bullets camp is brilliant and Ace will benefit massively being around that this season.”
The Bullets have also confirmed Greg Blair will be back for 2022 after a successful comeback to the sport last year.

ARCHIE Freeman says he’s “buzzing” to be making his Belle Vue debut in 2022 after making the switch from Scottish rivals Armadale.
The 17-year-old is one of three new recruits for the Colts, along with Nathan Ablitt and Freddy Hodder, in the upcoming National Development League campaign.
Freeman said: “Belle Vue is a club I’ve wanted to ride for a while now and I’m just super happy to have the opportunity to finally do that in 2022.
“I’ll admit, when I first rode the NSS I didn’t really enjoy it that much because I was more comfortable on the smaller tracks.
“But that got me thinking and I knew I wouldn’t get very far in the sport with that kind of attitude, so it was an issue I needed to get past.
“On future visits, I approached riding there in a completely different way and I started to realise that I was capable of having a good meeting on a much bigger track than I’m used to.
“It gave me confidence in myself and by the end of 2021 I was enjoying every lap of Belle Vue and I’m buzzing to be able to call this place my home track.”
