ARCHERFIELD TO HOST 2022 NATIONAL SPRINTCAR TITLE
In unprecedented and unchartered COVID times, the Sprintcar Control Council of Australia (SCCA) are excited to announce Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway has been confirmed as the host venue for the rescheduled 2022 Australian Sprintcar Championship.
With the uncertainty still surrounding the West Australian border, it left organisers no choice but to postpone the originally scheduled Championship in Perth to 2023.
Hence the decision was made to tender the event out to all states (eligible venues) for an opportunity of hosting it.
“We strongly believe holding the Australian Championship in 2022 will provide competitors and fans with something to celebrate in what has been two very difficult years and to once again showcase this prestigious event,” SCCA Executive Secretary Mark Richards said.
The Championship will be staged over two nights – Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1, with a rain date of May 2. Event details will be available on the venue’s website: www.brisbanespeedway.com.au
Nominations will open shortly, with information available soon on the SCCA website: or on facebook: Sprintcars Australia or contact local SCCA state member club.
The SCCA would like to take the opportunity to thank the venues that tendered for the event.
