EUREKA SERIES ROUND WIN FOR SP RACING

Strathalbyn’s Daniel Pestka and SP Racing continued their great season Saturday night, Febraury 19, by taking out the Eureka Sprintcar Series Round at Western Speedway in Hamilton, Victoria.

The night commenced with qualifying for the 23 car field. Pestka began the night by qualifying third in his group behind Terry Rankin and Brett Milburn.

Pestka was able to claim both heat wins thus qualifying off the front row for the 30 Lap Final.

After a few attempts to get a lap in the books due to a few red lights, Pestka was able to get the jump on fellow front row starter Grant Stansfield. Pestka then led for the first part of the race until a red light came on half race distance. On the restart Peskta asserted his authority and continued on to what was another A Main win this season which also extended his lead in the Eureka Sprintcar Series.

Pestka now has 2750 points from Grant Anderson who has leapt into second place in the standings on 2369 with Brett Milburn on 2141, Tate Frost 2041 with Grant Stansfield rounding out the top five on 1942 points.
