BUSY EASTER ACROSS AUSTRALIA
EASTER represents one of the busiest periods in the Australian speedway season across the country.
The annual southern Easter Sprintcar Trail in Victoria and South Australia has become an Easter tradition since 1980.
Again this 2022 event involves Geelong’s Avalon Raceway, Borderline Speedway, Mount Gambier and concludes with the annual Easter Sunday night spectacular at Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway.
Jamie Veal won the opening race at Avalon, while in Queensland at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway, it was Lockie McHugh who came out on top in the Sprintcar main event.
The Lightning Sprint Queensland Championship was won by Andy Kimm.
There is also the running of the Australian Sidecar Championship this Easter as Darrin Treloar goes for the even dozen national titles to further cement his place in history as the greatest of all time.
