STRONG WORDS FROM DOYLE: ‘WE WERE ROBBED”
The echoes of last Easter Sunday’s fixture between Fogo Unia Leszno and Moje Bermuda Stala Gorzów are not silent.
Officially, the meeting ended in a draw, but the department that manages the Ekstraliga will look at the events of the 15th heat and it is not excluded that the result will be checked. Jason Doyle is not reconciled with the draw and spoke in strong terms about what occurred.
Jason Doyle believes the referee made a mistake twice by excluding Leszno competitors and also believes that Szymon Woźniak’s behavior was unfair. “This draw isn’t fair. I think the judge made a mistake. In two situations, Szymon Woźniak knew exactly what to expect and fell. He knew I was going to go under his elbows. I don’t think it’s fair and (in my opinion) he was definitely looking for a rear wheel. From my perspective I’ve already passed him,” Doyle said.
When in front of the Canal+ Sport 5 cameras, Szymon Woźniak explained himself regarding the fall, but from the perspective of what cameras captured, it was clear that he was looking for the rear wheel of his competitors, as he was fully aware that he would lose his position. “I can safely say that not one percent of those falls were controlled falls. I don’t ride to fall, I just want to fight,” he said.
Jason Doyle also vented his emotions on social media. “We got robbed. We won,” he wrote on Instagram.
Doyle also sees the positives. For example his last race that he was able to win. “It’s true that my last race was pretty good. Of course, I would do better without a disqualification. Then I would score 11 points with bonuses, which means a good day at the office,” – concluded the Australian.
