BACK TO BACKWOULD BE AN UNREAL DEAL
Official release: Sprintcars Australia

Jamie Veal has waited. . .
. . . for some time – two years in fact – to defend his Australian Sprintcar Championship and put the #1 on the line.
It was 2020, (just before the world was hit with COVID), at Latrobe Speedway Tasmania where ‘The Real Deal’ sealed the deal on a night where Mother Nature nearly triumphed but the dedicated track crew pulled off a major miracle to get the show on.
With state border restrictions preventing his title defence at The Perth Motorplex in 2021 and then again with the originally rescheduled date earlier this year, it seemed the Warrnambool wheel twister would again keep the #1 without having to get in the ring.
Now, though, with the geographical change and the title headed to Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway, it’s time for Veal to put his national title on the line.
Like any place in Australia, Jamie Veal is a hot prospect.
Archerfield certainly doesn’t bother him.
He’s fast there – and he wins there . . . and he wins there!
Though there’s not much attention paid to the statistic Veal certainly paid his Aussie title dues.
He racked up three third place finishes in the five years leading up to his 2020 victory.
He’s won the Brisbane Open at the Colebard Street clay way (Archerfield) and he has been a very racy proposition any time the SWI Maxim has rolled into the pits.
This Saturday and Sunday night will be no different.
Veal comes into the 48-car field as an excellent chance to retain that big number on the top wing and tail tank. A betting man would be hard pressed not to look past the possibility of a back-to-back A1 scenario. The 59th running of the Titan Garages and Sheds SCCA Australian Sprintcar Championship is scheduled for Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway Queensland.
