His dad won an Australian Speedway Solo Motorcycle Championship on home Queensland soil, and now 45 years later Kevin Titman hopes to emulate John in this weekend’s Titan Garages and Sheds Australian Sprintcar Championship at Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway.
In 1977 John Titman beat the best Aussie Solo talent at the iconic Brisbane “Ekka” as one of the highlights of an epic Australian and international two wheel career – it’s a life that Kevin is extremely proud.
It would mean more than anyone could imagine if KT would duplicate JT with a National Championship victory of his own.
Titman has some significant experience at the tricky Archerfield layout and some might suggest he’s in the best form of his career to date in the best looking car of his career.
Will history repeat itself – albeit in a different genre at a very different venue – but with many other things in common?
Watch for KT to cause quite a ruckus in the Elite Diesel Performance #59. The 59th running of the Titan Garages and Sheds SCCA Australian Sprintcar Championship is scheduled for Saturday April 30 and Sunday May 1, 2022 at Archerfield Speedway Queensland.
