2023 AUSTRALIAN V8 DIRT MODIFIED CONFIRMED FOR LISMORE

 Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway has locked in 11 fixtures so far for the upcoming 2022-2023 season. 

The full 16 meeting calendar is still being finalised. The 2022-23 season will feature the running of the Australian V8 Dirt Modified Championship.

Incumbent promoters Mick and Kim Sauer officially take over the running of the venue at the commencement of the new financial year, July 1.

Current promoter Dave Lander will still be present at the circuit after the change of promotional control but only in an advisory capacity.

Mick, a Sprintcar competitor, is already at work putting together a 22-23 calendar in co-operation with Dave Lander. He has indicated it will be hands-on as the new promoter and his Sprintcar racing will definitely take a back seat. “We have a lot to do and once the season commences it will be full-on with not overly a lot of time to go racing,” Mick said.

“We have got the ball rolling with 11 calendar nights now locked in for next season,” he added.

“Eight of those nights will feature V8 Dirt Modifieds as the main attraction, while we already have two Super Sedan shows and one Sprintcar night. We would like to see if we can get another Sprintcar show, while we also want to talk to the Midgets and we will also get all our regular sections locked in for the upcoming Lismore season.”

A highlight of the next Lismore term will be the Australian V8 Dirt Modified Championship which will be decided Easter 2023 over two nights, April 8 and 9.

The 2022-2023 Castrol Edge Lismore Speedway season commences on Saturday night November 5 with the annual running of the V8 Dirt Modified Lord Mayor’s Cup. The season duration will be from November 2022 to the end of April next year.

Plans are continuing for a Monster Truck spectacular and family entertainment show also featuring ramp jump bike action and a monster fireworks display.
