BROOKE TATNELL’S REFLECTION ON HUSET’S FEATURE WIN

The recent win by five times Australian Sprintcar Champion Brooke Tatnell at Huset’s Speedway, Brandon, South Dakota, was also significant for the Dewell Race Team.

Brooke was delighted to put this iconic Sprintcar operation in the Jackson (Minnesota) area back in victory lane for Doug Dewall.

“It’s easy to buy engines and bolt them in and be fast, but Doug builds his own motors and is always working to make them better,” Brooke said after his feature race win.

“Doug has so many characteristics of the man I call God, a second dad and mentor like Alan Felsch.

“Both are brilliant mechanics and engine builders, never over flustered, calming and motivating tone in their voice when things go south.

“I may not be that young 16 year old kid that loved hanging out and learning from Alan any more, but rather I’m now the fifty year old kid that loves hanging out and learning from Doug Dewall. Both great men and friends.

Brooke heads to Jackson Motorplex this coming Friday (June 17) and then Sunday night it back to Huset’s Speedway.
